Blues Chords 101
griffpttb asked:
Visit http://playingthroughtheblues.com/blog/blues-guitar-chord-chart for a .pdf file containing the chords seen in this video.
A good solid set of blues chords. These work great for most blues songs.
I’ve divided the lesson into the 3 chord families, major, minor, and dominant 7th chords.
These chords are really the ones you must know before tackling lead blues guitar. They are the most common blues chords for the guitar.

dude thankyou i am 14 years old and i just want to say ty so much : D
Too right. I **** this easy way mentality in America today. I don’t have talent so I’ll post a video on youtube or Guitar is ok but it looks hard so I’ll act like a rock star by pressing some buttons.Yeah buttons really simulate 6 strings. The game and all those who play it are pathetic. I can’t believe the guitar manufacturers endorse that garbage. Even saw Danzig’s mother was on one.Very sad. Can’t wait for Danzig’s blues album.
The picture really of the chords in the corner really helped. Thanks.
Great, really helped. thanks
nice, now i just need to pracice all of these.
I’m sorry if some of the comments seem out of place. I removed several because they were profane and inappropriate. Some of what are left are responses to those asinine comments.
I don’t like to mess with comments, and I won’t remove one for being critical. That’s what this sort of forum is all about. I will, however, keep things respectable. My apologies to anyone who might have been offended by those posts.
The root, third and fifth of a major scale is some of the most basic music theory there is. The root is the first note of the scale, the third is the third and the fifth is the fifth.
Also, being able to play a real guitar is much more respectable than playing a silly game.
You made this so easy. It was like a light clicked on. Thank you! =)
thanks…this helps…
nicely done!
This served for really good clarification on some chord variations. All you need is to post a link to a document with all these chord shape for some real icing on the cake.
This was very well done and helpful, I hope that you post more if you have time someday. Thanks.
very good nice job on explaining it you did it very well 5 stars
